Have you ever wondered why your life has taken the path it is on? I certainly have.

Preface

I wrote this book with one purpose in mind; to share good news that will help set the captives free. Life is a journey and the things I have seen and learned, as well as the places I have been, have all led up to this moment in time. This book is inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and other books I have read that have served as confirmations and help set this captive free. It is my honor to share this portion of the book with you in this blogpost and I pray you will be as blessed by it.

Wisdom to Prevail and Overcome the Gates of Hell is a testament to the power of the love of Jesus Christ (Yeshua). I was twelve years old when I began to realize that Yeshua was my best friend. I didn’t imagine him, I knew him. We walked and we talked together on a regular basis and I was under the assumption that everyone had this same relationship with him. One of my fondest childhood memories is when we attended Easter sunrise services at Knott’s Berry Farm in California. I loved going for two reasons: 1) we got to sit in the covered wagons area and sing songs in the open air; and 2) because we always sang ‘He Walks With Me in the Garden’ and ‘He Lives’. I can still feel my spirit leaping for joy as I recall those services, “Yes! He does walk with me and talk with me!” I know him to be real.

What I didn’t know as a child is that he had a plan for me. I grew up in a family where my father would physically and mentally abuse my mother. I was shown things by my heavenly father that would help me understand later in life what I was witnessing. I don’t remember my exact age but one time my dad was abusing my mother and I just couldn’t take it any longer. Such fear and anger was rearing up inside me when I heard Yeshua say, “Norma, what you are seeing is not your father doing this. This is a spirit called Rage and Murder that has taken over his body. Your father actually loves your mother but he is tormented with this evil spirit. Don’t allow it to operate in you.” I was listening, but still not sure I understood or that I could overcome what I was feeling. (Please Note: In no way or under any circumstances do I believe a person should remain in an abusive relationship. My father may have loved my mother, but it was not a safe environment for any of us to remain in as long as that spirit operated in and through him; however, on an even brighter note: My father did end up giving his life to Christ before he died. Hallelujah!)

As time went on, I was shown different spirits that were operating through different people and though I didn’t really understand why Yahweh was revealing these to me, I now know he was preparing me for something bigger.

It wasn’t until age 16 that he began to unveil what that plan would entail and it wasn’t until 27 years later that it would begin to come to pass. I share this with you to encourage you to rest assured in the hope that Yahweh is not finished with you and he has a plan for you as well. His timing is not our timing and his ways are higher and better than our ways. As for me, He told me that I would walk in healing and deliverance. Looking back at my journey, I now know that hind sight is 20/20 and though I once was blind, I can now see. I have been in ministry since 2003 and have been used by Yahweh to cast many unclean spirits out of people, and it all boils down to the fact that until Yahweh’s people repent and turn from their own ways the strongman (devil) will set up shop and wreak havoc in their lives forever.

With the help and wisdom of the Holy Spirit, you can break free from chains and walk in more freedom and more intimacy with Yeshua. The Bible says that if you resist the devil, he will flee. I invite you to make a decision in your life today. If the devil has had his way for too long in your life, make a decision to resist him and turn away from him. Perhaps you don’t even realize that the devil has had a hold on you until you read this book. Either way, ask Yeshua to fill you with his Spirit of Truth to help you understand and then rejoice as you feel the chains come off.

Wisdom To Prevail and Overcome The Gates of Hell

CHAPTER ONE

The New Jerusalem

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Yahweh, 11 having the glory of Yahweh. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. (Revelation 21:9-13 NKJV)

It was early morning January 1, 2009, and I was seeking Yeshua’s face, praying for wisdom for the upcoming year. Through the years, I have come to know and believe that Yahweh’s plans for me always far out weigh any plans I could resolve to make for myself, so I decided that this year I would just ask. I have never been one to make New Year’s resolutions because I know my flesh is weak, but I do believe in the power of prayer. As I prayed and waited to hear from the Holy Spirit of the most High God, I was soon directed to the book of Proverbs in the Bible… specifically Proverbs 2. As I began to read, the Holy Spirit told me which words to underline and to mediate on for that year (shown below).

The Value of Wisdom

2 My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,

And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of Yahvah.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8 He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path.

I realized at that moment in time that this was not only a blue print for the year ahead but this would be the best counsel I could ever receive. I have since used it as a gentle reminder that the ways of man can never hold a candle to the wisdom of my God, Yahweh.

For several years prior to 2009, I had sought Yeshua for many reasons and prayed fervently with all kinds of prayers and supplications. Much healing (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) have taken place as a result. I was set free from unclean spirits and was no stranger to the fact that Christians can have demons and/or be demonized (where they can be tormented) in spite of their love and desire for Yeshua. I learned all this through the school of the Holy Spirit with a major in ‘Baptism by the Spirit, Baptism of the Spirit, and Baptism of Fire’. Perhaps you too have heard of this Holy Spirit school. If not, it is the one that followers of Yeshua go through as part of the refining process from dying to self and becoming an ambassador to the living Christ, with the ultimate reward of being considered his Bride without spot or wrinkle at his return.

If you are from a religious denomination that preaches a doctrine otherwise, hang in there! You are most likely deceived. Please don’t close your mind; instead, allow the biblical proof and scriptures to shed light on this matter.

Read the rest of Proverbs 2:10-22, below, and then I will walk you through how crafty the devil is and how so many Christians have been deceived, not to mention how the adversary (known as Satan) has deceived the whole world. I will also walk you through Yahweh’s promise to get set free and how you can pray and seek total deliverance from the ways of evil.

Proverbs 2 Contd.

10 When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
11 Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
12 To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice in doing evil,
And delight in the perversity of the wicked;
15 Whose ways are crooked,
And who are devious in their paths;
16 To deliver you from the immoral woman,
From the seductress who flatters with her words,
17 Who forsakes the companion of her youth,
And forgets the covenant of her god.
18 For her house leads down to death,
And her paths to the dead;
19 None who go to her return,
Nor do they regain the paths of life—
20 So you may walk in the way of goodness,
And keep to the paths of righteousness.
21 For the upright will dwell in the land,
And the blameless will remain in it;
22 But the wicked will be cut off from the earth,
And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.

The Holy Bible is full of truth. It is full of Yahweh’s Logos and Rhema word, meaning it has the written word (Logos) and that word also becomes revelation knowledge (Rhema) which speaks to us individually at a specific time and place in our walk with Yeshua. It is a book full of history and parables, all of which are designed to set those who are called by His name free. The Bible even has prayers in it, has warnings of things to come to nations as well as warnings to us as individuals, it has wisdom and blessings beyond measure, prophecies, and promises. The Bible teaches us about the importance of Yahweh’s wisdom, the importance of the letter of the law (type and shadow of what was to come) versus the Spirit of Yahweh (New covenant with Yeshua and Holy Spirit of Truth…which is here now). It provides every tool we need to seek Yeshua, to know him, to walk and commune with him. We just need to believe and receive it. It also teaches us about the deception of the devil.

What may surprise you is that the adversary has used man to translate Yahweh’s word into many forms and has even changed some of the text from version to version to cause confusion, but in Yahweh’s infinite wisdom, he has not let his Truth be removed. It’s all there and only with the help of the Holy Spirit can a follower of Yeshua be set free of the the wiles of darkness. Because of this, it is imperative that the sheepfold (you and me) have a personal relationship with the shepherd Yeshua and hear his voice outside of just reading the Bible. Yahweh is NOT a god of confusion but of sound mind. He will speak to us and the Bible is a tool to back up or confirm that which he has spoken. He speaks life and though he does chasten those he loves, he will never speak death.

My beloved, I want to make it perfectly clear to you that if you hear a voice in your head that is telling you something negative, giving you suicidal thoughts, or causing you to hurt yourself or someone else, you are hearing one of Satan’s minions and not the Holy Spirit of Truth.

In The Beginning

CHAPTER TWO

The Bible begins with the book of Genesis for a reason (Genesis means “in the beginning or generations”). Yahweh begins to lay out his purpose for mankind and the church in this book and among many other things, He reveals how the devil is cunning and crafty and how easy it is to get distracted and deceived from the truth.

For the purpose of understanding the gates in New Jerusalem, we first want to look at the birth of the twelve tribes; and so, we begin in Genesis with a very brief overview. Yahweh spoke to a man and told him to separate himself from his pagan upbringing and go to a new country. This is the man whom Yahweh had chosen to give his promise to the world through. He would give this promise to this man’s seed. This man was Abram, later named by Yahweh, Abraham. Abraham was obedient to Yahweh when he heard His voice and left his country, his father’s house, his pagan roots, and put his trust in Yahweh. He knew Yahweh was real!

Abraham had two sons, one of which the promise would carry through. That son was Isaac, and Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau. Jacob was the chosen one to birth the nation of Israel. Jacob had twelve sons and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist while reading the scriptures to figure out that although these sons are heirs to the promise of Yahweh, they had some serious setbacks in life. Nonetheless, Yahweh’s promise is His promise and soon thereafter Yahweh told Jacob that He was changing his name to Israel and hence his children become the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

History continued on through the years until the time of Moses, who also called and chosen by Yahweh (I AM), would lead the twelve tribes of Israel out of Egypt from their years of enslavement to bondage (in the book of Exodus). This enslavement was a result of their ancestors’ rebellions against Yahweh. Yahweh gave Moses wise counsel on how to follow His statutes and keep His commandments so as to walk in blessings versus curses (also read Leviticus and Deuteronomy). Much like Abraham, Moses didn’t have a clue who Yahweh was when Yahweh first spoke to him, and he didn’t even know he was a Hebrew until the appointed time when he heard Yahweh’s voice. Once he heard Yahweh’s voice, he was obedient to carry out the mission. You will notice a pattern with the above key players. First, they did not start out as believers or followers of Yahweh; second, they had never heard Yahweh’s voice until such time it pleased Yahweh to speak to them; and, finally, they were obedient to what Yahweh told them to do. None of the players were perfect people but when they knew what they knew in the spirit, they knew it was time to uproot life as they had known it and take a leap of faith to walk out their destiny for Yahweh’s glory. These are examples of faith with works because they knew Yahweh was real.

We now fast forward time several thousand years to the end of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, where suddenly we see there is a New Jerusalem coming, a holy city, that has a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:  three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Yahweh’s promise is being fulfilled once and for all for mankind. Although I very quickly summarized the birth of the tribes of Israel, I hope that either you have or you will take time to read the book of Genesis in the Bible to get the full story and picture of how it began.

As I write this book, it becomes more evident in so many ways that we are in the last days and Yeshua needs his Bride to be ready, to be without spot or wrinkle. He will accomplish this because it is His will, and today if your spirit is stirring and you hear his voice, I beseech you to not harden your heart but to be open to what he is saying to you.

I share glimpses of these few books of the Bible for the purpose of connecting the twelve tribes and their importance at the gates in New Jerusalem, the Holy City. What Yahweh has been teaching us all along is that we are his temple, his holy tabernacle, and that we carry the blessings and curses of the twelve tribes with us. As believers in Christ, we have a tendency to hear these words but not understand them. The physical tabernacle Yahweh had Moses build was a type and shadow of the spiritual one to come. We are that spiritual tabernacle and we have to choose life over death if we want freedom, joy, and abundant life…life eternally. The devil wants us to choose death and will do everything in his power to keep us from abundant life filled with joy and freedom. Only Yeshua’s name is above all names, and only the blood of Yeshua can set us free and give the key to unlock the mystery of the gates of New Jerusalem and prevail against the gates of hell.

This is a book about the spiritual gates that affect our relationship with Yahweh the Father, Yahweh the Son, Yahweh the Holy Spirit. Our relationship with the godhead affects our relationships with others and how life on this Earth will be for us and our children and our children’s children.

It is imperative that we understand, as humans, who we are in Christ Yeshua and why we are co-heirs to His throne in heaven, but first we must understand who Christ is and who the Anti-Christ is. As I begin to layout the differences, you have an opportunity to choose life. I pray that you will resist the devil and pray the prayers I share. I pray that you will take your temple (spirit, body, and soul) back for Christ and fight for your freedom. Together we can do this! Are you ready?

Yahweh’s Word to the Twelve Tribes

Genesis, chapter 49, tells us that when Jacob (renamed Israel) was old and on his death bed, he called each of his sons to his side and spoke prophecies of what would happen to each particular tribe in the last days. About 300 years later, Moses would speak a blessing over the twelve tribes as well; except this time, he was prophesying the tribe’s destiny in the nations (Deuteronomy 33). For the purposes of this subject, I won’t go into depth about those nations although I may mention some so you can get an idea of how to see the mystery unfold.

After the Exodus from Egypt and Moses passing on, Joshua had become the leader chosen by Yahweh because of his faith. He was instructed by Yahweh, while in Shechem, to have the tribes separate with half of the tribes speaking blessings and the other half speaking curses into the hemisphere. Half the tribes stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal (Joshua 8:33). Shechem was the valley that stood east between the two mountains. The twelve tribes, while in Shechem, were standing in the most important crossroad of their lives. Can you imagine the sight of thousands of people standing in this valley of decision and shouting out blessings and curses. All heaven and Earth had to have shook on that day. Bottom line here is, the tribes had a choice…go the way of the blessings (life), or the way of the curses (death). Our forefathers had the same choice, we have the same choice, and our children will have the same choice.

I always say, “our present generation is so far down the food chain, how can we be anything but both plagued and blessed by the choices of our previous generations.” Preachers and religious Christians alike don’t like it when I say this when they themselves have a spirit of haughtiness on them. I truly believe as Christians we are both plagued and blessed. I see it everyday in the churches, in the pastors and congregations alike. It was never Yahweh’s desire that we choose the curses and he desires to set us free from the strongholds over our lives. It was Yahweh’s desire to give mankind free will. Each day we wake up, we have the free will to choose what we are going to wear, what we are going to think, and which god we are going to serve. I see and meet Christians constantly who love Yeshua and want to know him more intimately and just when they are about to get there, they get hit with a work of the flesh, or are taken out completely by the devil’s deception. It is their free will to love Yeshua and yet the devil comes in like a wrecking ball. It was no different in the early church when Yeshua had to rebuke Satan in Peter. Peter’s heart was for Yeshua and yet the devil was still able to deceive him.

So many Christians are told in church that once they receive Yeshua as their savior, they are no longer under the curse but they don’t explain what that means. What they don’t teach their flock is about true repentance and proper baptisms, and as a result, Yahweh’s people live in a state of lukewarmness and deception and they cannot enter through the gates to be seated with Christ in heavenly places. Instead, they are met at the gate by a spiritual stronghold preventing them from entering. What’s worse is they believe there is nothing they can do about it. WRONG! Nothing can be more wrong. Yeshua came to set the captives free, to break the bonds that hold us down (Isaiah 61). Every peak and valley we encounter in life is a heart issue that affects our spirit, soul, and body. Much of it is a test to approve where our heart abides.

It is my prayer that this book will help you understand how your human spirit is affected by the works of your soul and body and how important it is to bring them back into proper alignment with the Will of Yahweh so as to present yourself as a Bride to Yeshua without spot or wrinkle. The proper order is that your spirit commune with the Holy Spirit of the Most High God and not the adversary, Satan, and that your soul come under the dominion of your spirit and your body under the dominion of your soul. The reason you hear pastors talk about souls needing to be saved is because the soul is where the fleshly works of our sinful nature breed and our body then follows suit. Rarely do you hear pastors talk about the human spirit and it’s role. If we will nurture our human spirit to be in dominion over our soul and will commune with Yeshua (sit in heavenly places with him) as designed, then the sinning and torment can stop and freedom can begin. Jeremiah 1:5 reads, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Yeshua knew each of us before we were even in our mother’s womb. He knew and communed with our spirit! How amazing is this?

Tree of Life

CHAPTER THREE

Revelation 22 reads (NIV):

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of Yahweh and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of Yahweh and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord Yahweh will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”

The above scriptures give the promise of a tree of life yielding its fruit every month and that the leaves of this tree are for the healing of the nations. Yeshua told John the apostle that there will be a day when “no longer will there be any curse…” How glorious will this time be for all those who dwell with Christ. This is also a confirmation that until Yeshua returns for his bride, there will be a curse that we must contend with and overcome.

We have become a world engulfed with behavior and character issues and many people are prescribed medication or classified as mentally ill when perhaps all they need is to reach out and touch the garment of Yeshua, but they just don’t know this. There are certainly illnesses that require medication and there are those who are mentally ill, so please do not misunderstand me. I am fully aware of environmental issues that plague the world and bring about sickness undeserving. However, I also know for a fact that many issues are a result of a deeper spiritual root that has manifested itself into a bad fruit. Psychiatry is one of man’s way of playing god and trying to define and bring healing to many. The Pharmaceutical industry is another.

Of every fruit bearing tree, some bear good fruit, some bear rotten fruit, and some bear no fruit whatsoever. Below are a few scriptures addressing the fruit. When you read about fruit in the Bible, most the time it is referring to a behavior and character issue. Our goal is to eat from the tree of life. In Genesis we are warned against eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil…and yet here we are, thousands of years down that food chain. It’s a behavior/character issue. Mankind puts more faith in the tree of knowledge of good and evil than in the tree of life, believing every wind of doctrine. It is a huge deception! (See my post, “Come, Let’s Meet In The Garden“, for more on the tree of life)

As a child growing up, I can recall the horrible allergies I had to grass (especially fresh cut grass). It seemed to start around the third or forth grade. Our family loved going to parks to have family gatherings because we had such a large family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. I couldn’t wait to see them all and yet every time, without fail, I came home so sick with allergies. My mother would have to steam water, put eucalyptus in it and have me sit and breath it with a towel over my head for an hour or so. Eventually, the allergy would subside and I would go to sleep miserable and exhausted. It was a high price to pay just to play outside. As I became older in high school, I began taking allergy medication to help me get through the “hay fever” season.

When I was old enough to push a lawn mower, mowing the lawn became my weekly chore. I really didn’t mind mowing the lawn so much as I resented the fact that “I” was the one who had to mow it. My father had each of us children do a particular chore and in my mind, my chore was the result of some sort of punishment. My allergies gradually became worse and worse each year and my resentment grew (unbeknownst to me just how much). I suppressed the feelings for years. It wasn’t until years later, after I got married to my husband, that I was finally able to realize that my anger and resentment was a sin and it was the stronghold that took root that was keeping this and another infirmity alive. I was also struggling with migraine headaches and cervical issues to the point that my doctor once told me that I could never have children and that I would more than likely have cervical or ovarian cancer by the time I was 30 years old. I was 27 at the time. Once I fully put my trust in Yahweh for this and repented (change of heart and behavior) it was the strangest thing that: 1) I became pregnant; and 2) almost the second I became pregnant with my first child, I was completely healed of all allergies. It has been 32 years that I have been allergy free and also have had no sign of cancer. My migraines also ended. At this writing, I am now 61 years old. Had I listened to the lie, my life would be completely different today.

Another manifestation of rotten fruit I struggled with for years was claustrophobia. Oh, how my husband can tell you stories of this! Well, as we continued in our walk and ministry to Yeshua, we learned of the many strongholds and curses affiliated with freemasonry. What is this? My father was a 3^rd Degree Freemason! I was ignorant of the curses involved and the spirit of anti-christ that waged war in our generational line as a result of this… long before my father became a Mason. My husband and I repented of this in our generational blood lines and prayed a prayer addressing every degree of this demonic secret society and during the prayer, I could literally feel chains being broken off of me and effective immediately, the claustrophobia left and has never returned (18 years and counting!). This was just the beginning of me truly understanding about these strongholds and getting set free. Yahweh does not want us to live life in crisis mode. He wants us to walk in spiritual and physical freedom and the only way we can get there is to trust him and pray. I also want to add here that I have been in a relationship with Yeshua for most of my life. I attended church since I was five years old, I taught Sunday School for 14 years, and never once did I learn about these strongholds while sitting in church. It was only my seeking the wisdom of Yahweh through the Holy Spirit of Truth that I would learn. He would teach me and bring others into my life to share. I am writing this in obedience to Yahweh for you.

Matthew 3:10 reads,  The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:15-20 reads,  “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”

The above scripture could be a book within itself with all the false teachings not only in the non-Christian community (psychics, spiritualists, Buddha, tea leaves, Kabbalah, Mormonism, Scientology, Judaism, etc.) but in the Christian community as well (many denominations and so-called non-denominations). In fact, Yeshua immediately addresses the latter immediately following the above scripture.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

Again, the above scriptures could be a book within itself; however, for the purpose of this book I just want you to start thinking about fruit (manifestations of character and behaviors) and what root (stronghold) is feeding the tree producing the fruit in your life. Freedom comes from a self-examination…a good long look in mirror.

CHAPTER FOUR

Who Were the Original Children of Israel? – Their Strengths and Their Weaknesses

From scripture and history we know that Jacob had twelve sons and Yahweh has made a promise for each of the son’s generations. Like so many of us as parents and/or children of parents, we have expectations and most importantly, we have unconditional love even when sometimes our children stray. As children, we want nothing more than to please and be accepted by our parents. Keeping this in mind, let us learn about these sons and how they set a foundation for their generations to come. In the following chapters, I will break down each tribe, their blessings and curses and the strongholds that so many people battle today. This will not be a history lesson but rather provide you understanding in order for you to relate to the spiritual gates. At the end there will be a prayer for repentance and deliverance. I encourage you to read the entire book including the prayers (without praying them) and then once you see how they all relate, go back and pray each individual prayer. Remember, this is a heart issue and Yeshua not only wants your heart for him, He wants you to have a heart for him and worship him in Spirit and Truth.

Reuben – Name means “Behold the Son”

One of Reuben’s strengths as being the firstborn son was his desire to honor his father and stand as a pillar of strength with, of course, the natural expectation he would be first heir. Of the twelve sons, Yahweh had chosen Joseph, Reuben’s younger brother for a special purpose and that purpose was so important that it would require his older brothers to one day bow down to him. Because this was Yahweh’s purpose, it would become a reality. Yahweh gave Joseph dreams about it to plant the seed in his spirit. Joseph shared the dreams with his siblings. Yahweh knew what He had planned for mankind and by Joseph sharing the dreams, Yahweh also planted a seed in the brothers of what was too come. No eyes could have seen or mind understood at the time how Yahweh would use Joseph for his glory and to help save the children of Israel. The idea of older siblings serving the younger went against the traditions of man and customs of the that time. Rather than seeking and trusting Yahweh, it caused immense jealousy and strife with the siblings and try as they might to kill Joseph, it was Reuben who got convicted (by Yahweh) and convinced his brothers to spare Joseph’s life. Instead of convincing them to bring the boy home, however, he came in agreement to throw him into a pit and fake his death and lie to their father. Years later, when Joseph had stepped into his full calling during the famine, it was Reuben that was put in a position where he would offer his own two sons to be killed by Jacob if the brothers did not return from Egypt with Benjamin (Gen 42:25-38). Benjamin and Joseph were the only two sons of Rachael. I encourage you to read the story if you have not. It is important.

Reuben’s weakness was him wanting something so badly that rather than trust in the one true God, he gave in to a spirit of jealously and a seducing spirit (also known as an Anti-Christ spirit) and it plagued him to the point that he eventually slept with his father’s concubine, Bilhah, who was Naphtali and Dan’s (his half-brothers) mother. The devil is very crafty and what Reuben wanted most in life to please his father had become the opposite because of a root of jealousy. What he thought he would prove by dishonoring his father by lying to him about Joseph’s whereabouts years prior and then defiling his father’s bed backfired on him big time and it brought a curse upon the tribe of Reuben and its generations to come. I am certain that Reuben was not proud about some of the decisions he made.

Jacob prophesied as follows:

“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, The excellency of dignity and the excellency of power. 4 Unstable as water, you shall not excel, Because you went up to your father’s bed; Then you defiled it—He went up to my couch.”

Now, I don’t know about you, but if I was standing before my father on his death bed and I was told the above, It probably would not sit really well with me that I would not excel because of my evil actions. In fact, it would cut right through my very spirit and soul and convict me to repent and turn from my wicked ways so as to please my father. Clearly Jacob loved all his children with all his heart, so for these words to come out of his mouth on his death bed, you know it was not him that spoke but the Holy Spirit of Yahweh speaking through him. Yahweh was giving Reuben a chance to return to dignity and excellency of power.

About 300+ years later, after the Exodus from Egypt, Yahweh had Moses speak a blessing to the children of Israel before his passing. For the tribe of Reuben, he said: 6 “Let Reuben live, and not die, Nor let his men be few.”

Basically, what Moses prophesied was that the tribe of Reuben would live, multiply and have a future, but there was no mention of a glorious future. As history goes, the tribe ended up breaking away from the other tribes and not joining them in battle when their brothers needed them. In the Song of Deborah (Judges 5:15-16) it says,

“among the divisions of Reuben there were great resolves of heart. Why did you sit among the sheepfolds, to hear the pipings for the flocks? The divisions of Reuben have great searching of heart.

The above is clearly a rebuke and indicates that the tribe of Reuben had some serious heart issues to resolve. My question to you is, “Do you have any heart issues to search out and to resolve with Yahweh?”

Behold the Son – Yeshua

The book of John gives a beautiful introduction to who the Son of Yahweh is. It has been Yahweh’s desire and plan since before the beginning of time to have mankind behold the Son, Yeshua, and be co-heirs to the throne of Yahweh with him. I truly believe with all my heart that mankind was created as the apple in our heavenly Father’s eye and is called to be sons and heirs to the throne. Yahweh longs to hold us near to him and to be our refuge in times of trial. He longs to commune with us, pamper us. As any proud father on this earth longs to nurture and protect his son, so our Father in heaven does. Just as here on earth, our Father in heaven gives us this thing call free will. A parent’s role is to help us learn to walk before we can run, to teach us right from wrong, to be kind, and how to forgive those who are mean and unforgiving. Most importantly, the parent’s role is to provide unconditional love and discipline out of that unconditional love so that our spirit, soul, and body is nurtured and can grow as we go through the various stages and growing pains of life.

Yeshua (Jesus) came to earth in the form of a man to show us and teach us how to get back onto the track that mankind has been derailed from through deception of the adversary, Satan. How he accomplished this was through the atonement of our sins by giving his own life on the cross and shedding his innocent blood once and for all mankind. No longer would there be a need to sacrifice by the shedding of blood by man for any atonement. It was finished! But it didn’t end there on the cross. He fulfilled the promise of resurrection life by being raised from the dead three days later and revealed himself to hundreds before ascending up into the skies so as to take his place back on the throne of Yahweh. It is now Yeshua and his blood covering that allows us to enter into the gates of heaven and be seated with Yeshua in heavenly places even while we are here on earth. It is only through Yeshua that we can have relationship and fellowship with Yahweh and the Holy Spirit. No other has ever laid down his life for mankind so that we may come to know the Father and have life abundantly. You see, Yeshua not only came to show and teach us the way, he came that we would take Him as our life and that His life in us would be manifest through us. Everything we do should be a representation of his character.

“But of him are you in Christ Yeshua, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV

When the spirit of anti-Christ enters, it enters because of deception and it takes hold of our mind, actions, and life. It goal is to trick us into believing that there is no need of our heavenly father, the creator of the skies and earth, no need of a savior, Yeshua Messiah, and no need of the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit of Yah), or worse yet, this spirit may lead you to believe that God exists but Yeshua was just a great man and prophet. We begin to lean on our own understanding and choose to take counsel from other means rather than beholding the Son and taking counsel from Spirit of Truth. Before we know it, we rationalize and psychoanalyze everything and end up serving those other means thus growing farther away from Yahweh. This spirit attacks professed believers in Yeshua just at it attacks non-believers. This spirit is not the Anti-Christ that is making his way onto the scene for the end-time tribulation, it is a spirit of anti-Christ that rules and reigns over our minds today.

Scripture tells us that in New Jerusalem there is a gate with the name of Reuben on it. What does that have to do with you here today? Here on Earth, you are designed to be a temple of Yahweh and to worship Him in spirit and truth. This is accomplished through your spiritual and physical gates. There is a portion of your spirit that longs to behold the Son of Yahweh. It is the portion that yearns for more truth so as to fill the void within. Yahweh has provided the keys to that gate but it is up to you to pick up those keys and unlock it and enter in so as to obtain the blessings that have been held up in your life.

The spirit of anti-Christ has one mission and it is to steal, kill, and destroy your relationship with Yahweh, so it stands before the true gate and works very hard to keep you from beholding the Son. Satan’s deceptive minions will trick you into believing the lie that the Son is not real or that the Son is too busy for your problems. The funny thing about this spirit, and any unclean spirit for that matter, is that Satan knows very well that Yahweh the Father, Yeshua the Son, and the Holy Spirit of Yahweh are real or he wouldn’t spend so much time convincing us otherwise. Once you understand how this spirit is designed to destroy you, you can then seek the wisdom of Yahweh to overcome this gate of hell and enter through the gate of Reuben.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber, but he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, to him the doorkeeper opens and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out, before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:1-5

“The thief comes but to steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they might have life and might have it abundantly.” John 10:10-11

CHAPTER FIVE

Below is a list fruit from the root of the Spirit of Anti-Christ and scriptures to support. A person can have one or more operating at the same time. Each fruit is further explained following this list.

1. Denies the Deity of Christ – 1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 7

2. Denies Christ at the Atonement – Romans 5:11, Hebrews 2:17

3. Humanism – 2 Thessalonians 2:3-7

4. Worldly Speech and Actions – 1 John 2:15, 4:5

5. Against Christ and His Teachings – 2 Thessalonians 2:4, 1 John 4:3

6. Deceiver – 1 John 2:22, 2 John 7-11, Revelation 18:23

7. Lawlessness – 1 Timothy 1:9, 1 John 3:4, Matthew 23:27-28

8. Teachers of Heresies – John 2:18, 19

9. Anti-Christian – Revelation 13:5-8

Prevail Over the Spirit of Anti-Christ

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of Yahweh; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of Yahweh; every spirit that confesses that Yeshua Christ has come in the flesh is of Yahweh, and every spirit that does not confess that Yeshua Christ has come in the flesh is not of Yahweh. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of Yahweh, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.  We are of Yahweh.He who knows Yahweh hears us, he who is not of Yahweh does not hear us.  By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” John 4:1-6 (emphasis mine)

Denies Deity of Christ

One of the most subtle ways the spirit of anti-Christ operates in the world today is through the teaching that Yeshua was a good man and a prophet, but they never enthrone Him as King of Kings and deity over their lives or their church, cities, towns etc. (They tend to enthrone other gods including themselves above Yahweh). If you turn on the news today or pick up a newspaper, you can see how prevalent this spirit has become in the last 50 years.

Any mindset and teaching of such enthrones another god. The world is full of occult religions (including many professed Christian denominations that have twisted the sound doctrine of Yeshua by inserting tolerance of things that Yahweh clearly has warned us against in His word). Satan always overplays his hand, however, and we can see that there is no people more persecuted in the world than those who profess to believe in Yeshua. If Yeshua is not real, then what is all the fuss about? The spirit of anti-Christ wants man to worship man or beast but not the one true Yahweh.

1 John 2:22 – Who is the liar but the one who denies that Yeshua is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

Denies Atonement

Romans 5:11 – And not only so, but we also joy in Yahvah through our Lord Yeshua, by whom we have now received the atonement (reconciliation).

Hebrews 2:17 – Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to Yahvah, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Against Christ & His Teaching

2 Thessalonian 2:4 – He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called Yahweh or is worshipped, so that he sets himself up in Yahvah’s temple, proclaiming himself to be Yahvah.

Humanism (2 Thess 2:3,7)

Secular humanism is a man-centered religion that mistakenly thinks it can solve the problems of man, independent of Yahweh. Prayer and Bible reading are no longer welcome at our public schools (and many churches) and why Americans are much more tolerant today of sexual freedom, homosexuality, transgender, incest and abortion is because the religion of humanism has been made deity over our nation.

John Dewey, the father of progressive education, was an atheist. He was the founder and first president of the American Humanist Association. He said, “There is no God and there is no sound.” Can we wonder why our children are tempted to doubt the basic concepts of Yahweh’s Word when they are exposed to a daily diet of this kind of blasphemy? To take it a step further, in America, if you want to get a job in most places, you have to have a college degree. In college now days, you have to take philosophy, world religion, and hear about evolution (this starts in grade school now), and Christianity is NOT welcome and has no place. In other words, you have to compromise Yeshua to get a degree. Yahweh’s word is clear that we are to adhere to the sound doctrine of Christ Yeshua.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-15

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.

Anti-Christian

Revelation 13:7 – “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nations. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundations of the world.”

The Anti-Christ is about to make his debut on earth in full force. It is critical that as believers in Yeshua we get set free from this spirit so as to overcome it and be able to stand firm in that great day of the Lord.

Lawlessness

No regard for the law of Yahweh and no true reverence (fear) for Yahweh.

Matthew 23:27-28 – “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. “So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

1 John 3:4 – Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

1Timothy 1:9 – realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers

Deceiver

2 John 7-11 – For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Titus 3:3 – For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Revelation 18:23 – And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

Worldy Speech & Actions

The spirit of anti-Christ has shaped world opinion through religion, politics and propaganda to accept the devil’s counterfeit for Christ. John says that we will recognize those people their choice of key words and phrases. The speech patterns will give them away to those who know the Truth. “They are of the world.

1 John 4:5 –“Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.”

Teachers of Heresies

1 John 2:18-19 – “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many anti-Christs have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.”

Today, there are many doctrines, many churches, many religions that very well may have started out with an element of sound doctrine, but because they: A) weren’t being totally led by the Holy Spirit; B) were operating under a Caesar government authority (501c3) rather than Yahweh’s Kingdom authority; C) pride crept in; or D) were deceived and didn’t receive the full gospel of truth, they twist and distort our Yeshua to suit their comfort level. This is just an example of Christian denominations! Can you imagine all the non-christian religions?

We live in a time when the world calls evil good and good evil. When it was time for the “do your own thing and live the American dream” phase of America to take effect, the loyal subjects of this world immediately began promoting it without question. It infiltrated churches and education systems alike. But as Yahweh’s people, we know this is not the language of Yahweh’s Word. We do NOT do our own thing; we exercise our free will to obey the Will of Yahweh.

1 John 4:6 – “We are of Yahweh. He who knows Yahweh hears us, he who is not of Yahweh does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

Brothers and sisters, we must shake off the dust (doctrines of man) so that we can discern how to judge their words by the Word of Yahweh and recognize them as being from this world’s system, under the direction of Satan. John warned us not to even say, “Yahweh bless you” to those who do not abide in the doctrine of Christ.

2 John 1:10-11 – “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have Yahweh. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”

Ask yourself the question, “what spirit am I under when I avoid the truth and fear man more than Yahweh?”

Following is a prayer for deliverance. Before praying this prayer, read it through and personalize it where needed to become a prayer between you and Yahweh.

I encourage you to stand firm on the Word of Yah. It is a spiritual battle in this world and it is not by might, not by power, but only by the Spirit of Yahweh we can stand and win. Blessings to you.

Prayer for Deliverance

“Heavenly Father, I come boldly before your throne with a humble heart and contrite spirit. I thank you for your Word, your Holy Spirit, and for the blood of Yeshua that was shed on the cross for my sins and the sins of my forefathers. I come seeking your face and ask for your wisdom and guidance in these last days to help me to overcome the gates of hell in my own life. I place my trust completely in you. You are my healer and my deliverer. Your Word states that ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.’ Thank you for your promise. Yeshua, I confess that I have sinned against you and have been deceived by the spirit of anti-Christ. I ask you to open up the books of my bloodline on both my parents side back to the beginning of time and identify each and every time that someone in my family served the spirit of anti-Christ and did not trust you. I ask forgiveness for those sins and iniquities and I ask you to cleanse my bloodline with your blood, Yeshua. Close those doors of darkness and seal them with your redeeming blood. I ask you, Yeshua, to forgive and cleanse me from the spirit of anti-Christ in my own life and in the lives of my physical and spiritual seed to a thousand generations. I repent, Father, from believing the lie that I didn’t need you in every part of my being. You gave me free will and I have misused it for another’s glory. I realize now that you will not share your glory with another so I stand before you at the gate of Reuben and proclaim freedom to behold the Son! It is you Yeshua I need in my heart and in my life. It is you my spirit and soul longs for. Deliver me, I pray, from this strongman in my life and from all its bad fruit. Forgive me for ever doubting your ability to take care of me. And, I forgive myself for ever doubting your ability to take care of me. Thank you, Yeshua, for showing me the Way, the Truth and the Life. I can rest in you because you provide for my every need and will continue to do so as I trust in you.”

Satan, in the name of Yeshua, I hereby reject your spirit of anti-Christ. I will not be dominated by your evil strongman any longer in my life because greater is Yeshua and the Holy Spirit that is in me than he that is in the world. I have prayed to Yahweh and I am forgiven. I am an over comer in the name of Yeshua and by His blood that was shed for me. I bind the spirit of anti-Christ according to the word of Yahweh in Matthew 18:18 that promises me, ‘..whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:’ and I cast it to the feet of Yeshua to await judgment by Him. You can no longer operate in my life because I have the power of Yeshua and his love that dwells within me.

In Yeshua’s name, I loosen the Holy Spirit of Truth in my life according to the Word of Yeshua in Matthew 18:18 that says, ‘…whatsoever you shall lose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.’ I ask you to redeem the time that has been lost in the spirit and I ask you to release the blessings that have been held up as a result of the curses upon me and my bloodline. I pray for the healing of your land that has been defiled due to this spirit. Thank, you blessed Yeshua for delivering me and for providing me with the keys, the power, and the love to behold the Son. Amen.
