Truly Redeemed and Sanctified in Him
So often we feel we are not worthy of God’s love or His forgiveness because of the things we have done. Nothing can be further from the truth. The beauty of God’s love and essence is just that – Beautiful! Most of the time, we just need a spiritual chiropractic alignment to receive a new perspective.
Let’s take Adam for example. When all of creation came into existence, it came as a result of sound. It was not some big bang theory that exploded and everything came into existence. It was the voice of the Godhead who spoke it into existence, who blessed it, and called it good. The cosmos, firmament, vegetation, sea life, and animal kingdom.
Yet, when it came time to create someone to steward and have dominion over God’s creation on earth, in His infinite wisdom, God chose to create man out of that which already been created—the earth. He didn’t just speak man into existence, He carefully crafted him, forming him out of the dust of the ground, taking great care to supernaturally design a spirit being with a soul and body. And then, scripture says, “God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostril the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)
Can you imagine the moment in time when Adam took his first breath, opened his eyes and beheld his creator, God? This, my friend, is what is known as life in the presence of God filled with His essence.
We can only compare it to a newborn child that has taken her first breath of life and is immediately placed upon her mother’s chest. The first smell, the first touch, the first glimpse from mother to child. There is no greater love that flows from one to the other. There is not only a physical connection, there is a spiritual connection. The two are one in a way only God can explain. If it is so with us, how much more was it with God the Father to his creation of mankind.
Adam was not created by an artificial intelligence. He was created by a divine loving Father of supreme intelligence who then placed him in the Garden with all the blessings of life, goodness, and a helpmate of companionship to help him steward all of creation. Adam walked with God, talked with God. He was one in the spirit with God…until he wasn’t.
There came that day when Adam screwed up big time and he knew it. He caved and didn’t stand firm in his dominion and authority God had given him. He knew he had sinned and it brought upon him shame, embarrassment, and judgment from God. He blamed his sin on Eve, who had been deceived from Satan. Had he only confessed his sin, he and Eve may have had a different outcome. But instead, they both tried to hide from God. Try as they might, He was still there in their midst.
Adam and Eve were escorted out of the Garden of Eden so quick with a firm discipline that I can only imagine the shame and embarrassment they were feeling. Man was put in a position of having to work harder for his food and toil by the sweat of his brow. No longer would he be accustomed to everything being at his fingertips. Life would indeed be more challenging but the essence of God was still a part of him. He was still God’s son and made in God’s image and nothing could change God’s love for him.
The problem for Adam was that he no longer felt deserving of the blessings he once enjoyed. He had disobeyed the Father but through it all, the God-given assets and wisdom he had previously gained was still there. Yes, God was more distance from Adam because of his actions and poor decisions, but he did not destroy Adam and Eve because He had a redemptive plan for mankind to continue to grow, to become fruitful and to multiply. Adam was truly redeemed through his son, Seth whose bloodline would beget, Enoch of whom would later come Noah.
God’s plan for us is still the same. Even when our environment is compromised, whether it be our health, finances, relationships, caused by either our own sinful actions or by circumstances beyond our control, we still have the essence of God’s nature in our original design because we are designed in His image. Whether we choose to believe it or not, God is sovereign over all things and He gets the final say over His creation.
You may have created an ungodly overlay to your original design out of ignorance, anger, hurt, rebellion or whatever it is, but you have a loving Father who has never left you. You are still here. You are still standing and breathing. Reach out to Him to let Him start peeling off the overlays of deception in your mind that have convinced you that you are not worthy of the redeeming love of Jesus, because YOU ARE! Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit were the “Us” with God on the day you were created. Adam may have blew it for mankind for awhile, but Jesus, the true Son of God, is your redeemer. He loves you so much that he paid a price for you with His own blood and He desires nothing more than to sanctify you, cleanse you and heal you from all doubt, shame, abandonment, rejection and bring you into His abundant Garden of Life.
You are your heavenly Father’s child. Celebrate that you are truly redeemed and sanctified through Him.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26-28)
Blessings of love and peace and joy to you, in the name of Jesus Christ our redeemer.
