VISION OF THE THRONE ROOM – Part 2

In part 1 of this 2 part series, we removed the veil and took a thorough look at the vision given to the Apostle John in the book of Revelation, Chapter 4.  In this part, we’re going to take a thorough look at the vision Ezekiel had of the four living creatures and the wheels within the wheels and connect the two visions.

I mentioned in Part 1 that Yeshua had me in the book of Ezekiel in May 2020 for about a month–daily reading, studying, researching, and listening to the Holy Spirit for revelation. I knew that in order to understand what the Spirit of Truth was wanting to reveal, Proverbs 2 was the treasure map I would need to follow. Yeshua even gave me a very detailed dream where I was sitting in a classroom with Him and He was teaching me every mystery within the first 2 chapters.

The first thing Yeshua said was for me to look at chapters 1 and 2 as ingredients to a recipe. If you’ve read some of our blogs, sat through any classes/teachings, you’ve read or heard me say, “think of this as a recipe and the ingredients required to make a satisfying, savory dish. If we leave out a key ingredient, we are not going to have the desired end result. Yeshua is the bread of life. He is our savory dish and He provides every ingredient (precept/principle/ revelation of His word) we need for fullness, satisfaction, abundance, and completeness in Him. Yeshua is the new wine and we are to be His new wine skin…a new creation in Him.

After several weeks of going through the first two chapters in Ezekiel, the Holy Spirit said, “Now turn the page to Chapter 3 and eat the scroll.” What? There it was right in front of my very eyes and yet my eyes had not perceived the enormity of the need to understand the ingredients of Yahweh’s recipe before being able to eat the scroll. May 2020 was an incredible year and spiritual boost for me and my relationship with Yahweh, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit.

Many Christians have a hard time understanding how important the spiritual realms are and how 99% of everything we do is spiritual. Many admit that we are a spirit and soul inside a physical body; but to understand that the body is just that—A body (that which is housing who we really are—Spiritual beings) is a stretch many just are not willing to go there. This mindset is Satan’s plan to keep us from the deep things of Yahweh. My prayer is that after hearing what I am about to share, you will have better understanding and a deep desire to get to know your Creator better and more intimately.

For context, just as Ezekiel was given a vision of the throne room of Yahweh, in the book of Revelation we see that the Apostle John was also taken up in the Spirit and given a vision of the throne room of Yahweh. Chapter 4’s vision is after John was given seven letters to the seven churches. For further contextual understanding, the number seven represents Yahweh’s completeness/fulfillment/rest. Yahweh will send His Son, Yeshua for a bride who has made herself ready (see study blogs on the Glorious Church—What Church Are You?) Yeshua is King of Kings. His bride is His Queen (See A People Set Aside) seated by His side in the throne room (multitudes are there today who have made themselves ready). The bride are co-heirs to the throne, a holy nation of peoples (joined from every tongue, tribe, and nation), a royal priesthood with King Yeshua the High Priest. Keep this in mind, as these visions were given to men living on earth. They were visions given to them for a purpose—that purpose being for you and I today to be able to focus on our spiritual relationship with the Three.

In this post, we will look at the vision given to Ezekiel in the book of Ezekiel, Chapter 1 and how the two connect as ONE. If you haven’t read Part 1, click on this link. Vision of the Throne Room – Part 1

Ephesians 5:26- 27 says Yeshua is returning for a glorious bride without blemish. Many people are waiting for a rapture event to take place believing at that time, He will make the bride ready. This is not biblical and scriptures tell us so all throughout the bible. Can I ask you a personal question? What happens if you should die before the second coming of Yeshua (aka the rapture)? Where are you going to stand as a bride made ready? Yeshua gave us a parable of the wedding feast and spent His entire ministry on earth explaining what the kingdom of God is and what is required of us to enter heaven after our physical bodies die. In addition, He spoke many parables about what the kingdom of heaven is and taught us to pray that His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

For millennium, Yahweh and Yeshua, the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world, has been preparing a people called unto Himself. Many have gone on before us that have made themselves ready for the King, their Bridegroom. Many have not entered into the kingdom because of their unwillingness to get ready. We learn in the book of Esther the importance of the purification process required to be presented before her king.

But here, we have two very telling visions given to two men about 590 years apart that reveals the kingdom of Yahweh and our relationship to Him. Isaiah was given a similar vision as well and these are only a few we read about in the Bible. In the last couple decades, we hear more about the book of Enoch and he, too, was given this vision. There are more throughout history whose visions are similar that are not in the Bible.

The Prophet and Priest, Ezekiel, and the Apostle John were given the vision for a purpose—that purpose being you and I today.

The Throne Room of Heaven – Ezekiel 1

I suggest you read Chapter 1 in its entirety and then see the breakdown of the verses below:

1Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. 2 On the fifth day of the month, which was in the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity,

1) We see some symbolic stamps as follows: 30th Year – Why does Yahweh visit Ezekiel on this particular year, month and day? The number 30 does have symbolic meaning – symbolizing dedication to a particular task or calling. Aaronic priests were initially dedicated to serving at thirty years of age (Num. 4:3). God likely choose 30 because that was when a person reached both physical and mental maturity and could therefore handle major responsibilities. It is probable that Ezekiel (from the tribe of Levi) was 30 years old at the time he entered into his priestly role.

A few notable others we know of who entered into their priestly roles at age 30 were John the Baptist and Yeshua. Yeshua shed His blood for the sins of mankind in 30 AD. and was betrayed for 30 shekels of silver. While we don’t want to make the numerology our idol, it is helpful to learn the patterns in the Word of God to capture the revelation.

1a) 4th month – 4 is symbolic for seasons (4); new beginnings; appointed times. the Hebrew word for “seasons” in Genesis 1:14 is moed (Strong’s Concordance #H4150), which literally translated is “appointed times” (divine appointments) in reference to God’s festivals. This is the earliest known allusion to what would later be called the Holy (or Feast) days (periods) of worship.

2) 5th day, 5th year of captivity – 5 is symbolic for God’s grace, goodness and favor toward humans. The word “five” is recorded 345 times in Scripture. Since five represents grace, when its multiplied by itself, it produces 25 which is ‘grace upon grace’ (John 1:16). The Ten Commandments contain two sets of 5 commandments. The first five commandments are related to our treatment and relationship with God and the remaining five are concerned with our relationship with other humans.

With the above knowledge, we know that Ezekiel had entered into his priestly duties, as it was his appointed time. We also know that he had relationship with the Father.  No one unprepared could become a priest. Yahweh gave him the vision on the 5th day of the month in the 5th year of captivity to demonstrate his grace for humanity.  Even while in captivity, Ezekiel had not forgotten his God. We see the same pattern with the Apostle John while he was in prison on the island of Patmos.  It didn’t matter their circumstances, they had not forgotten their God and they still had their relationship with Him.

3the word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was upon him there.

3) Word of God – Strong’s Hebrew 1697: speech, a divine communication in the form of commandments, prophecy, and words of help to His people.

3a) Hand of the Lord – Strong’s Hebrew 3027: Strength, power, of the Existing One (Yahweh)

4Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

4a) Whirlwind out of the north – Strong’s Hebrew 7307 for whirlwind 1) wind, breath, mind, spirit ;  North – God’s domain.

4b) Raging fire engulfing itself; brightness – This fire Ezekiel saw was the Spirit itself and it’s brightness. Yahweh appeared to Moses and the Israelites as a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day.  If you’ve ever had a visitation from the Lord, you know it comes upon you with such a brightness.

4c) Amber – the color amber is associated with warmth and comfort. Often times when one has a visitation from the Lord, they will describe a brightness that engulfs them and there is such a fear (reverence) that overcomes them that is accompanied with an un-explainable warmth and comfort of peace. This is what Ezekiel experienced.

5 Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.

5) Note that the four creatures had the likeness of man versus the likeness of God. This is a spiritual representation of the spirit of man that walks with God on earth.  Part 1 of this series explains the Apostle John’s similar vision.

6Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.

6) Four faces – four countenances (expressions) of Yahweh; four wings – feathers; fly – to go up in the spirit.  The number 4 represents the appointed times or divine appointment, as noted in verse 1.

7Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves’ feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze.

7) Straight legs – symbolic for justice and equity. 7a) Soles of feet like calves’ feet – walking in truth with their feet shod. Yahweh is a just and righteous God.  Yeshua is the sacrificial lamb (calf) who walked in holiness, purity, with no corruption while on this earth. Those who walk and worship Him in Spirit and Truth walk in His justice, equity, and righteousness. 7c) Sparkled like the color burnished bronze/brass – purified to be corruption resistant; moldable (refined) to Their like image.

8The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each of the four had faces and wings. 9Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward.

8) Hands of a man = indicating power, dominion, ministry/ordinances. 8a) wings = feather; fly. 8c) four sides = square (equal/whole/complete)

9) wings touched one another = covered extremities and were joined together, symbolic of in fellowship one to another. 9a) did not turn but went straight forward = did not turn to left or right but kept their focus only on Yahweh.

10As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle. 11Thus were their faces. Their wings stretched upward; two wings of each one touched one another, and two covered their bodies. 12And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went.

10) Like a Lion = the dominion and power of Yahweh (one of four countenances of His face.) Those who reside/abide in Him day and night, praising Him, will be those spirit beings who are walking in His dominion and power. A royal priesthood.

10a) Like a Ox/Calf = burden bearer, priestly duties (one of four countenances of His face.) Yahweh carries the burden of the people, to the point He sent us His Son, the sacrificial lamb (calf/ox) to take on the sins of mankind so that we can have forgiveness of our sins through repentance, and resurrected life through His resurrection from the dead and ascension to the throne room of Yahweh. He bore (and bears) all the burdens of the people. Those who worship and serve Him day and night in Spirit and Truth, praising Him, becoming holy because He is holy, will walk out their sacrificial servant-hood role (royal priestly duties) as a duplicate of our Lord and Savior Yeshua HaMashiach, King and High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek.

10b) Face like a Man = fullness, mature sons. The man face is the face of Adam and Yeshua being the perfect/fulfilled Adam face, or countenance. Just as Yeshua does, so are those who live, abide, and dwell with Yahweh in heavenly places, through Yeshua. Man was made in the image of them! Though in the spirit we do not look like the earthly men or women that we are, we bear His countenance. In the spirit, there is neither male nor female.

10c) Like a Flying Eagle = Eagle represents Yahweh’s perspective, vision, prophecy, higher ways; Flying = ascending one who quickly moves in the Spirit. For He is the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10) This is one of the countenances of His face for those who will be led by the Spirit of Yahweh, acknowledging that His thoughts and ways are higher than our carnal understanding.

13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning.

14 And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of lightning.

14) Ran = delighted in serving; 14a) back and forth = wherever sent without hesitance.

15Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces.

15) Wheel – a revolving object enabling it to move; 15a) on earth = here and now; 15b) each with four faces = the four countenances of God.

16The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl (transparent), and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

16) wheel within a wheel = The workings of Yahweh within Man operating in His Spirit on earth. Ezekiel saw the workings of Yahweh within His body (those who walk in His likeness and obedience.)

17When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went.

17) eyes focused on Yahweh; not the things of this world.

18As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them.

18) Rims = focus, direction of eyes, perspective. 18a) so high they were awesome = this is not pride. These are those who are humble and have been exalted on high (forgiven, resolute, and fixed on the Holy One.)

19When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20 Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21 When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

19, 20, 21) – The corporate body of Christ; those who abide in the Three and the Three in them. We know in the Spirit, we go where the Spirit goes.

22The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads.

22) Crystal = Complete transparent solid whose atoms are arranged in a “highly ordered” repeating pattern. The Apostle John was shown a sea of crystal before the Throne (Rev. 4:6) These patterns are called crystal systems, which by the way are seven in number. In Part 1, it is explained that the 24 is the symbolic/spiritual meaning of duplication of Yeshua and seven being complete, whole/fulfilled, rest.  They is nothing hidden from the Almighty Omnipresent God.

23And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body. 24When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings. 25A voice came from above the firmament that was over their heads; whenever they stood, they let down their wings.

23) Wings spread out straight (justice, equity, righteousness), one toward another = Those who are in one accord with Yahweh and in close association with another (working together as one in the spirit. This is like the tumult of an army or the Corporate body of Yeshua.)

24, 25) Noise of wings, like many waters, like voice of Almighty etc. = This is the decrees, proclamations, speech from heaven. When the Spirit of God and His angelic hosts/senior counsel speak, we are to be still and listen to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying.

26And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it.

26) Throne – a place of supreme power and authority; 26a) Sapphire stone – symbolic of truth, correctness, honesty in relationship to Yahweh through Yeshua (who came as a man to earth) and whose name is to be high and lifted up above all others. None can come to the Father except through the Son.

27Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.

27) Waist and upward = a place of Truth (Gird up our loins with the belt of truth – Eph. 6:11); 27a) Waist and downward = His brilliant Light and purification and ends at His feet which is the gospel of peace.

28Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.

28) Rainbow = rainbow represents His promise and reflections of His many facets of purity. All mixed together is ONE brilliant Light. 28a) the glory, splendor and honor, of I AM.

Conclusion

The visions of the throne room given to both Ezekiel and the Apostle John are truly for ALL those on earth today, as well as ALL those who came before us and those who will come after us. Ezekiel beheld the works of the wheels, which are the workings of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit within the sons, upon the earth, with the four living creatures, which are the countenances of the Father through our worship and obedience to His will in the earth (His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.) i.e. the Lion being carrying out His authority and dominion in the earth; the Ox being our priestly duties of servitude; man being Christ duplicated in His deeds and character; and eagle being led by the Spirit, walking in the Spirit, seated in heavenly places in Yeshua though we are on this earth.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:4-10) Emphasis mine.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.  (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

There is a work to be done within each of us. He has given us the power and authority to tear down every stronghold that keeps our minds captive.

I’ll end with John 17. As you read it, pay close attention to Yeshua’s heart cry for His people and see how it marvelous His works are in sharing His truth with you and me today.

JOHN 17

1Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

6“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

9“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Jesus Prays for All Believers

20“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Yeshua did not pray this prayer in vain. He prayed it with all His heart and in all power and authority.

I pray that this series has blessed you and given you new revelation about who you are in Yeshua HaMashiach. Take the time to meditate upon this chapter and Revelation 4, and understand that this is not about just gaining a head knowledge but rather about how much you are loved and Yahweh has designed you to be in constant communion with Him through Yeshua and the Holy Spirit of Truth.  I mentioned at the beginning how I knew Proverbs 2 as the treasure map and it really is. When we receive His words, and treasure His commands within us, so that we incline our ear to His wisdom, and apply our heart to His understanding; if we will cry out for discernment, and lift up our voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then we understand the fear of the Lord, and we find the knowledge of God and who we are in Him. For it is only from His throne, from His mouth, from His Spirit that He will give that to us and will preserve us and keep us from evil.

Until we meet again, I bless you in the name of Yeshua and know that you are truly loved.
