Everything Has Its Time

To Everything There is a Season

The season of Spring is the time of year in which we are blessed to watch the diversity of life bring about an emergence of beauty that has lain dormant during the Winter months. Depending on where one lives, the change from Winter to Spring is more prolific in late March or early April with beautiful bulbs of tulips, daffodils, lilacs, new leaves on trees, etc. For some geographical areas, Spring resembles Fall. As the snow melts, the grass still looks dormant, the weather remains cool at night, the creeks fill up to capacity, and yet hope is assured as the circle of ecological life is quietly behind the scenes at work. By early May, the slow emergence of new life has begun to show her beauty. One thing we know wherever we may reside, Spring is the perfect time for pruning fruit trees and fruit vines in preparation for the Summer and Fall harvests. In the Pacific Northwest zone where we live, we have ample time to get the trees and shrubs pruned and plant new seeds (if sown indoors) 6 to 8 weeks prior the last frost date for the outdoor garden. We get to watch new births within the animal kingdom with great joy. The second week of May is generally when the seed starts can be placed in the soil out in the garden.

I share the above to set the stage for what the Holy Spirit revealed to me in the early am hours between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. this morning. Recently, we shared a T.R.A.S.H. Talk post called “The Command To Build The House.” In that post, we shared a word the Holy Spirit gave us in December 2023, which was:

Tell My people that 2024 is the year to strengthen the pillars of My house or they will not be able to withstand what is to come.”

Not having any idea how many people who have read the post have taken it to heart, we have made it a priority in our life and walk with Yeshua. The challenge has been to examine each of the seven pillars of Wisdom’s house and take the time to see what needs strengthening first and foremost. The word of Yahweh is the best place to gain the wisdom and understanding under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of Truth. A few weeks ago, the Holy Spirit led me to the book of Galatians and I have be reading, meditating, and praying about what exactly I am to glean from Paul’s letter. So far it has been amazing and I am only in chapter 4. I’m sure a post will be coming soon.

I went to sleep last night praying about the book of Galatians and every night this past week I have asked the Father to show me great and wonderful things that I do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). This morning I was given a vision of two fruit trees in Spring. They both appeared like more mature trees. One was pruned and the other was full of green leaves but had not been pruned. It was beautiful and very full. As I examined the two trees, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “which tree do you think will bear more fruit this year?” I was looking at the trees and said, “I don’t know, Father, but I think the one that has been pruned and looks rather bare right now.” He said, “You are correct.” He then began to share how beautiful and full the tree with the leaves on it looked compared to the bare tree that literally looked so pitiful—almost as though there was no life to it. He then explained the importance of the pruning for the strengthening of the root system to gain and distribute the necessary nutrients up the trunk of the tree so new branches can sprout and bare the best fruit. While every tree requires air and water, it is primarily through the root system that most nutrients are absorbed so as to produce good fruit.

I was then shown a vision of the new seedling starts for the vegetable garden and how thin and tender the root base is when they are first placed in the soil. The Holy Spirit showed me the importance of having the right amount of water and proper soil for the root system to take hold for optimum growth. A balance and care is required as the elements have an impact on the success. Now as a gardener, none of this is really new to me which I am sure why He used this analogy in my visions. What the Holy Spirit is revealing is the importance of understanding the care of a new start (new believer in Christ) and how tender and vulnerable they are to the elements (or principles) of the world versus a seasoned believer who will require regular pruning so as to produce optimal fruit.

Beloved, if you are feeling as though you are suddenly thrust into a season of feeling stagnant and you are waiting for a break through in your life, it very likely is that Yahweh has you in a pruning season. Your ministry may have been flourishing and then suddenly you find yourself at a stand still. Be still and allow yourself to be strengthened.  Take the time to see which of the pillars need to be strengthened so as to withstand what is coming. Yahweh is pruning you in preparation for the next season of your life. Your spiritual root system is being nurtured so your spirit man and physical body can be supplied with the proper Holy Spirit nutrients. We all need this renewal process, and we all need to be strengthened. Pruning seems like a drastic and abrupt turn from what you knew just a few short months ago, but you must trust that Yeshua has His perfect plan at work in you. Pruning often times comes in the form of a trial when it is actually a refining. Seek Him and consider this time a joy because in seeking Him, you will come to know more of His unfailing love. In His love, you will find more peace through your patience (perseverance). Your patience produces kindness and goodness that will flow through you to others. Faith is tested in all of us so as to approve us for that which we have been called to do for the kingdom of heaven. Faith must be strengthened like never before and it is only strengthened when tested and approved. Beloved, I submit to you that through the pruning process you will find yourself with a more gentle spirit and self-control, not given in to the things of this world and the deception that abounds. My goodness, would you look at all that fruit!  And you’re just getting started! Think of the harvest ahead. You will be amazed to see how the fruit of the Spirit produces an abundance of other fruit in your life and the lives of others.

Reality check now. There are many who are content with the outward appearance of a fruit tree full of leaves.  Pride will not welcome a pruning easily.  Don’t be that person and don’t be deceived by those who have an outward form of godliness but their fruit is lacking or is rotten to the core. We are warned that there are many who appear to be Christians but their mission is to deceive the body of Christ and cause them to fall from grace. Many people wait and wait and wait, and while they wait for the fruit to come forth, they find those they trusted are exposed as tares. You be the person whose roots are deeply rooted in Christ Jesus and the word of Yahweh. Welcome the pruning seasons of your life, strengthen the pillars of His house (you are His temple) and know how to recognize when it’s time to grow, time to plant, time to produce, and when it’s time to rest and be nurtured. Spend time in the Word and with Yeshua. He will direct you to all truth, peace, and rest.

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, said:

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He [a]takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”  (John 15:1-8)

Be blessed and encouraged in knowing you are loved.
