Temporal or Eternal – It’s Your Choice!

Yeshua (Jesus) answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God (Yahweh) the Father has set His seal on Him (Yeshua).”

Then they (the people) said to Him, “what shall we do that we may work the works of Yahweh?” Yeshua answered and said to them, “This is the work of Yahweh, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

John 6:26-29

In the book of John, Yeshua goes on to share that He is the bread of life and all who come to Him will not hunger and thirst but shall be filled with everlasting life. Abiding in Yeshua and allowing Him to abide in us is what fills us with the love, joy, peace, endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control of Christ Himself. Anything less is not of Him.

We are in a time of great deception and it is a battle to not be deceived by the cunning works of the adversary. If we focus on the redeeming love, the resurrection power, and the word of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) and only on Him, we will be able to overcome. If we take our eyes off of Him and focus on temporal things of this world, we will fall prey to the schemes of the enemy. It is easy to stick our head in the sand and live in a comfort zone, but everything that can be shaken is being shaken these days. With a pestilence in the land, lies and propaganda in the media, a divided world, it is imperative we come to know the One True God. The gods of this world have failed and are being exposed for what they are.

In closing, I leave you with the following scriptures from the book of John, Chapter 6:60-66:

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” when Jesus knew in himself that his disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is the Spirit (of Yahweh) who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Yeshua knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

John 6:67-69

Yeshua invites you to follow Him. In order to do so, you must choose eternal and make Him king over your life. He came from above, He lived among mankind sin free, He died a horrific death for our sins, but he arose again from the dead triumphing over death and the works of the devil (all historically proven and more importantly fulfilling His Word) so that whosoever will just believe in Him will also partake in His abundance here on Earth and with him in eternity. If you haven’t given Yeshua your heart and would like to invite Him in, all you need to do is ask Him. I pray you will make the decision for eternal life today. Below is a sample prayer you can pray. Personalize it to your heart and invite Yeshua to rule and reign in your life.

Father God, you are Yahweh. You are the great I AM and I am so thankful for your love. I thank you that you sent your only begotten son, Yeshua, to this earth to show me the way to eternal life. Yeshua, I need you in my life and I need your Holy Spirit to guide and direct my path. I come before you with a humble and contrite spirit and ask you to forgive me for my sins and iniquities. You are the Son of God and you loved me so much that you gave your life on the cross for my sins. Please come into my heart and fill my spirit with your Holy Spirit of Truth. You went to the grave and defeated death by raising up on that third day. You are eternal and today I choose eternal. Amen!

I invite you to read and study the posts on The Beatitudes, as this will give you a clearer understanding of inviting Yeshua into your heart and abiding in Him so that He will abide in you. Baptism is generally your next step and I encourage you to fully understand the significance of the baptisms, as it is one of the foundational elementary doctrines in your walk with Yeshua.
